The day before we wrote that Germany sent the first Leopard 2A4 tank to Slovakia, and now the debut combat

the car arrived in the Czech Republic.

What is known

Slovakia will receive 15 tanks in exchange for the three dozen BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles that were transferred to Ukraine. Germany will send 14 tanks and one Buffel armored recovery vehicle to the Czech Republic.

Leopard 2A4s replace the T-72M4 CZ tanks. Another 13 units will be delivered over the next year. In addition to military vehicles, the Czech Republic will receive ammunition, repair equipment and spare parts.

In the meantime, the modernization of 90 T-72 tanks continues at the Excalibur Army plant, with the possibility of increasing the batch to 120 units. They will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
