The deal between Sony and Bungie has officially ended

Sony has become one more studio – Bungie has officially joined the PlayStation Studios family. On completion of the agreement

both sides reported on social media.

Apparently, regulators and antitrust regulators found no reason to stop the purchase, and therefore officially gave the green light.

On Twitter, Bungie wrote that it is proudher new position and looks forward to what the future will bring. Meanwhile, the head of PlayStation Studios, Hermen Hulst, also shared his opinion on the deal:

“I have always been surprised by the ambitiousBungie's groundbreaking games and their focus on creativity, craft and community. I can't wait to spend more time with Pete Parsons, Jason Jones and their team as we continue the course for SIE, PlayStation Studios and Bungie.

Recall that Sony announced the purchase of Bungie for $ 3.6 billion at the end of January 2022. To keep employees of the acquired studio in the workplace, the Japanese corporation will spend $1.2 billion in stimulus payments.
