Rockstar Games has confirmed that footage from Grand Theft Auto VI that leaked online over the weekend is authentic.
“Recently, we experienced a network intrusion, inas a result of which an unauthorized third party has illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage of the next Grand Theft Auto,” acknowledged Rockstar. “We are extremely disappointed that you were made aware of the details of our next game in this way. Work on the next Grand Theft Auto will continue as planned and we remain committed to delivering an experience that truly exceeds your expectations."
Recall that last Sunday morning, a hacker published a 3 GB file containing 90 videos with early gameplay footage of GTA VI.
