In addition to a description of the insides of the publication, the website also indicated the release date of the game - August 27, 2019. After some time, the pages were deleted, and Shacknews journalists decided to contact the developers to find out whether the Microsoft Store had lied.

A Remedy representative confirmed that Controlwill be released on August 27 simultaneously on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, as well as on PC via the Epic Games Store. The game will be available for pre-order on March 26th. Gamers who purchase Control before release will receive the Tactical Response Gear and Crafting Resources Pack.
