The developers of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are preparing to create a sequel

Japanese studio Monolith Soft is assembling a team of developers to create a new game from The Legend of Zelda series.

Monolith's head office is located in Tokyo.and a subsidiary studio in Kyoto helps with projects. Both teams have already worked with Nintendo and participated in the creation of Skyward Sword, A Link Between Worlds and Breath of the Wild. Developers were not given the most important roles, such as creating the environment, but this time Monolith Soft will have to work hard.

The studio is looking for artists to join its team who canin animation and visual effects, character and environment programmers, and mission and level designers. One of the jobs is called “protagonist designer,” which indicates an early stage of development.

Monolith Soft has already taken up the remakeLink's Awakening, which was released only on the Game Boy, but it is unlikely that they are looking for new employees for it. The game is planned to be released this year, and in the trailer gamers were shown both the main character and the environment, and Monolith Soft’s vacancies imply starting development from scratch.

In addition, the first rumors about the new “Zelda” appeared back in 2017. Series producer Eiji Aonuma mentioned a sequel in the Master Works art book, which is dedicated to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
