The doctor denied the harm of red meat to the heart

Russian doctor Alexander Myasnikov commented on the common myth that red meat increases

the likelihood of developing heart disease.

He refuted this opinion on the air of the TV channel"Russia 1". The specialist noted that until 2020, the whole world was confident that red meat would increase the likelihood of encountering heart disease. At the same time, just before the pandemic, experts revised the data on the influence of meat on the development of atherosclerosis. So, it was found that there is no unambiguous information about the relationship of these factors.

At the same time, the doctor warned Russians againsteating red meat in large quantities. The fact is that it can increase the likelihood of developing bowel cancer. According to Myasnikov, this product can be consumed no more than three times a week.

News stories cannot be equated with a doctor's prescription. Before making a decision, consult a specialist.
