The driver forgot the password from the tablet and made traffic jams on the Fukushima line

One of the company's drivers left Koiryama Station at 6:18 p.m. on August 20 and about three minutes after

At the start of the route, he went to his tablet to check the timetable. However, his attempts to unlock the device were unsuccessful: he forgot his password.

As a result, the driver had to repeatedly check the timetable during stops at stations such as Asakanagamori and Yayagawa on the way to his final destination. In total, these checks amounted to a 23-minute delay.About 60 passengers were affected byTrain delays.

This is actually the second incident in severalmonths. On July 8 at 6:55 pm, the driver was about to leave JR Ishinomaki Station in neighboring Miyazaki Prefecture in the direction of Sendai. However, just before leaving, the driver could not remember the password for his tablet. Then he decided to wait at the station until someone gave him a paper copy of the timetable. This method resulted in a 22-minute delay that affected about 120 people.

JR Fukushima spokesman said theyprovide drivers with additional guidance on remembering passwords. An easier solution would probably be to just turn off the lock, since the schedule isn't exactly classified information and they'll have to worry about falling into the wrong hands.
