At the end of March last year, the Federal Customs Service increased the threshold for duty-free import of goods into
Russia up to 1000 euros, that is, five times more,than the standard value previously established by law. Then the deadlines for this relaxation were set – March 31, 2023. Well, as you understand, the designated date is already very close. The documents directly establish that from April 1, the previous duty-free import thresholds will resume: 500 euros and 25 kg for import in accompanied and/or unaccompanied baggage, 200 euros and 31 kg for those delivered by carriers or sent by mail. No decisions have been made to extend the promotion [yet]. It's time to dust off our instructions on the correct calculation of duties. Now it will become relevant again.
