On Monday, Musk sent a letter to Twitter saying he intends to continue the deal on the original terms if a Delaware judge stays the case.
The renewal of the offer comes ahead of the trial between Musk and Twitter, which was due to take place on October 17. There, the social network was supposed to seek a forcible conclusion of the deal.
Twitter executives have received Musk's letter and intend to close the deal at the original price, a company spokesman told Reuters.
It remains to wait for the official announcement of the twosides. If the deal does go through, then in terms of scale it will be close to the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, which is currently being handled by antitrust authorities around the world.
