Mortal Kombat movie finds its own Sonya Blade and Kano, but can’t do without new heroes

Together with Mortal Kombat 11, an additional fighter got a film on the game’s universe.

Mortal Kombat movie adaptation has already found its LiuKanga, Milena, Raiden and Jax, and now they are joined by Sonia Blade and Kano. If you believe the Hollywood Reporter, then the lieutenant of the US Army Special Forces (Sonya) will be played by Jessica McNamy from Meg: The Monster of Depth. The role of Kano was given to Josh Lawson, who played in "Resident of Lies."

Lewis Tan, who played the mutter Shutterstar in the movie Deadpool, also joined the shoot. According to reporters, Tana will be put on the main role, but the name of the character is not called.

The film adaptation of "Mortal Kombat" will be released on March 5, 2021. According to the scriptwriter of the film, Greg Russo, in spirit the film will be closer to Deadpool with its jokes, action and characters.
