Despite the fact that Xiaomi already has smartphones in its portfolio with 120W and even 210W charging, quite a few devices from the brand
continue to come out with 67W technology. For example, Xiaomi 12S Ultra or the recent basic Xiaomi 13. But this year the standard may change, because the company is preparing to release a new adapter MDY-14-EC, which is capable of delivering 90 W of power. This could be a reasonable compromise between the annoying 67W charging and 120W technology, which takes up more valuable space inside the smartphone. At a minimum, this is hinted at by the authoritative informant Digital Chat Station: according to him, “the time has come to replace the 67-W standard of basic flagship models,” and changes “may begin with the Xiaomi 14.”
