The monastery brewery Klosterbrauerei Neuzelle, located near Munich, announced the creation of the world's first

powder beer. When water is added, it foams and forms a real beer head. The technology will help significantly reduce the cost of delivering a drink.

To create their product, brewers firstthe drink was brewed by traditional technology, and then processed to form a water-soluble powder. They note that it is still rich in dextrins, almost tasteless and non-fermentable carbohydrates, which remain in the finished beer and form a rich taste.

At the first stage, the researchers creatednon-alcoholic beer, they plan to continue experimenting to achieve alcohol retention in the powder product. Up to 90% of beer is water, the refusal to transport this mass will significantly reduce logistics costs and excess carbon footprint.

The developers note that they are ready forskeptical perception of the new product on the part of lovers of traditional and craft beer. Therefore, as the first target category, they consider global trading companies that may be interested in introducing a new low-cost product to new markets.

Among the priority areas of the companynames the countries of Asia and Africa, the cost of delivery to which is the highest. It is reported that the non-alcoholic powder will be tested in the market in small quantities until mid-2023, after which the company will begin production of alcoholic dry beer and expand production.
