The first renderings of Google Pixel 4a: a "leaky" display and one camera in a square block

In May of this year, Google expanded its line of smartphones and introduced the “budget” Pixel 3a and 3a XL.

Now the company is preparing a successor to the Pixel 4a, and 91mobiles, together with @OnLeaks, showed renders of this model.

What is the Pixel 4a like?

Overall, the Pixel 4a is similarpredecessors, but there is also a “zest”. The most important thing is the cutout for the front camera, and it's round. That is, this will be the first Google smartphone with a “punch-hole” display.

Screen diagonal is 5.7 or 5.8 inches. The bezels around it are a little thinner, but they're still quite thick.

The back panel is matte, the main camera with only one sensor and flash, which are placed in a square block, like the Pixel 4. It is possible that there will still be more camera modules.

Also visible in the images is an orange power button, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. The dimensions of the smartphone are 144.2 x 69.5 x 8.2 mm.

It is expected that the new Pixel will receive at least 4/64 GB of memory, a mid-range processor (for example, Snapdragon 730 or 765), a 12.2-megapixel camera, and possibly 5G support.

When?

Most likely, the Pixel 4a (and possibly the Pixel 4a XL) will debut at the Google I/O 2020 developer conference in the first half of next year.
