Oddly enough, the sub-flagship chipset Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, presented by Qualcomm back in May, can still be found
in only one single smartphone in the world -OPPO Reno 8 Pro. The second device based on it could be a new model of the Xiaomi Civi series, the first rumors about which surfaced back in July. Today, Digital Chat Station informed about its existence, pointing out the use of Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 instead of Snapdragon 778G/778G+ in its predecessors. The source states that the main emphasis in Civi 2 will again be on the front camera and its software, and also mentioned the outstanding ergonomics of the Civi and Civi 1S - the successor will probably also be a thin and light solution, aimed primarily at a female audience.

By the way, in the comments to the entry, the informantconfirmed the chipset's tendency to heat up, pointing out its unsuitability for games, and also hinted that the chipset clearly lacks stars from the sky in terms of economical battery consumption. This is probably the reason for the lack of interest in Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 from other brands. The presentation of Xiaomi Civi 2 is expected in the next few weeks.
