The jailbreak tweak Eclipse X adds a dark mode on the iPhone X

In the iOS 11 update, Apple added the Smart Invert feature, which can be called dark mode for iPhones, iPads, and iPods

touch.

Smart inversion makes light interface elementsdark. It changes the background, buttons and text, but does not touch the images, icons, etc. The function is not perfect, but it is at least some solution. A more advanced dark mode would be great for an iPhone X with an OLED display.

Luckily, if you have a jailbreak, you can use the Eclipse tweak, which is a great substituteDark Mode: Guillermo Moran, the creator of the tweak, has released a preview of Eclipse X, an updated tweak for the iPhone X.It can already be downloaded for free fromthis site. In the future, the developer has promised to release a paid version when the work on the tweak is completed.

To install a tweak, you must have an Electra jailbreak installed.

Before installing tweak, you should know the following nuances:

"It's active in all apps and can't be turned off in any way.
– Color options are limited as this is only a preview.
– Mail and Notes are not yet supported.
– More third-party apps will be supported in the future.

Users who have already installed a tweak noticed that it significantly reduced battery consumption. This can be seen in the screenshot below.

If you have not installed a jailbreak on youriPhone X, read our instructions on how to install the Electra jailbreak for iOS 11 - iOS 11.1.2. You can also read about how to install tweaks on devices with iOS 11 without Cydia.

Another alternative is to turn on dark mode in all applications in which it is available. These include YouTube, Twitter, etc. We hope that in iOS 12 Apple will finally add a full dark mode.
