The largest and most powerful wind generator is under construction. It will provide energy to 20 thousand homes

As the company said, the height of the turbine will be 280 m, and the length of the blades will be 115.5 m. Vestas is going to install

prototype of the turbine on shore to make it easier to access during testing.

The official name of the device is V236-15 MW. It will have three blades, and the rotor diameter is 236 m, which is comparable to the length of two football fields.

The developers plan that the device willgenerate 80 gigawatt hours per year. It is noted that the wind generator will provide electricity to about 20 thousand European households, preventing the emission of more than 38 thousand tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Serial production of the models will be launched in 2024. The company emphasized that the main parts of the turbine have already been tested and verified at test sites.
