The new Minister of Communications proposed giving security officials direct access to all Russian data

In his presentation, Shadayev proposed by 2024 to provide employees who lead

operational investigative activities, full access toinformation about Russians. Investigators will be able to obtain online data from banks, mobile operators, Internet services and government portals.

Security officials now receive personal informationRussians from their own or third-party databases, for example, the traffic police information system. Law enforcement officers can get access to banking information only by court order.

Shadaev later explained that law enforcementauthorities will be able to receive online only those data that are currently being received in paper form. However, experts note that they can now access these bases online, and much information is in the public domain.

Shadaev also said at the presentation thatThe ministry plans to provide full access for Russians to their own electronic medical records and all test results. Residents of Russia will be able to access them in their own personal account, probably on the website of the State Services.
