The new system will help block 80% of phishing resources per day

Representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development at an extended meeting of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy spoke about

an automatic system for collecting information about scammers on the Internet. The data will be transferred to the authorized body, where they will decide whether to block the resource or not. 

The system will help block up to 80% of phishing resources within 24 hours.

This year, the main focus was on the fight againstfakes. In 2022, we must learn to very quickly block phishing sites: a day is the maximum period, ideally, the work should take six to eight hours.

The department also said that they will reducenumber of fraudulent calls. One approach: operators' anti-spam systems; they will exchange data about the numbers used by scammers.

Mobile Research Group analyst Eldar Murtazin said that today it may take weeks to block one such number. If operators exchange information, it will take hours.

Russian companies specializing in cybersecurity will help the Ministry of Digital Security to automate the collection, analysis and transmission of information.
