Lectures by Nobel laureates, more than 10,000 events at various venues in the city and 700 hours of continuous
The motto of this year's festival is "Creating the Future"— it is no coincidence that one of the first events was the “Scientists to Schools” campaign. 200 young scientists went to schools to hold open lessons and talk about the professions of a scientist and researcher.
Festival events were held at hundreds of differentsites throughout the capital. Among them: Moscow State University, Russian Academy of Sciences, Zaryadye Park, Expocentre, universities, museums and research centers in Moscow. For example, one could listen to a lecture by 2007 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rae Kwon Chung on how the modern economy exacerbates the environmental crisis at the main metropolitan university. And in the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences, get acquainted with the structure of the human brain.
But most of the participants were gathered by the centralexposition of the Moscow Festival, organized at the Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya. More than 100 participants from all over Russia presented their innovative developments and exciting lectures on the role of science in the development of our planet on 6,000 m². The center of the exposition is the Museum of Science, consisting of the modules "Ecology", "Biosphere", "Technosphere" and "Space", and the interactive exhibition "Planet - Creating the Future".
The Moscow part of the festival is over, butThe exposition of the Museum of Science will travel throughout Russia and other countries. Irkutsk, Tashkent, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Sochi and other cities will take over the capital baton. Detailed information about upcoming events is available on the festival website at the link.
