The six-legged spider robot can “provoke” the user and can be programmed

The robot moves on six articulated aluminum legs. This allows it to rotate 360 ​​degrees

in place, resembling a spider.In total, the robot performs 12 pre-programmed movements. Among them are warm-up, when it spins forward and back, provocation, when the robot swings its front legs up and down, and stretching.

However it can be controlled andmanually in real time using a smartphone, gamepad or PC. For example, using a Raspberry Pi 4B processor and a 2 megapixel Robot-Eye 3.0 camera. The XR R1 additionally supports AI-enabled features such as following lines on the ground, tracking and following targets, and recognizing faces, QR codes, and colors. Video from the camera is transmitted in real time to the user’s phone.

It is not surprising that the robot is orientedis mainly for electronics enthusiasts and is thus distinguished by its open source nature. You can write special programs for it using Python or C++.
