The stem cell frame will cure chronic wounds.

Researchers modified the membrane of mesenchymal stem cells by adding thrombin, an enzyme,

which promotes wound healing. After that, the cells were placed in a solution with fibrinogen - the protein allowed to connect the cells into a three-dimensional structure.

The frame created by the cells will allow them to withstandaggressive conditions during transplantation - in this way scientists managed to overcome one of the main obstacles facing cellular engineering, the study says.

Previously, scientists from the University of Tel Aviv were the first tothe world printed on a 3D printer heart from human tissue. Researchers believe that in 10 years they will be able to print a fully working artificial heart.
