The Tombs are in danger again: the sequel to the Tomb Raider film has acquired a screenwriter

The cinematic reboot of Tomb Raider starring Alicia Vikander turned out to be controversial, but apparently collected

enough money for a sequel.

According to Deadline, MGM and Warner Bros have already begunpreparations for the production of the second film about Lara Croft. The companies asked Amy Jump to write the script for the sequel, and according to the source, Alicia Vikander liked what she wrote. Before working with WB, Jump managed to write the script for the films “Shootout,” “An English Field” and “Death List.”

Plot details, as well as an approximate release date,not reported. In addition, MGM and Warner Bros have not yet announced who will direct the new film. Perhaps Roar Uthaug, who directed the 2018 reboot, will remain in place.
