Information shared by the Ministry of DefenseSweden. The UK will purchase 14 units from BAE Systems. The amount of the contract and the timing of the delivery of weapons have not yet been disclosed. By the way, the Archer self-propelled guns will replace the AS-90 self-propelled guns in the British Army, which will soon be transferred to Ukraine.

For those who are not in the know

Archer is a modern Swedish 155 mmself-propelled artillery unit based on the Volvo A30D 6x6 chassis. It is produced by BAE Systems. Archer is designed to destroy manpower, artillery batteries, bunkers, as well as to provide passages in minefields and field obstacles. Self-propelled guns are served by 3-4 people. It is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 60 km (depending on the projectiles).
