The unopened first iPhone (2007) went under the hammer at a record price

The next autumn auction of LCG (London Capital Group) took place in London, during which the

unopened first generation iPhone with 8 GBdrive that left the assembly line back in 2007. The auction started on September 30 at a price of $2,500, and ended yesterday, October 16, updating the previous record: the device cost the fanatical collector an incredible $39,339.6 or 2,460,000 rubles. And although the box of a 15-year-old smartphone looks completely new, including the sealing film, it is not at all ruled out that the built-in battery has long since swollen, tearing apart the iPhone case from the inside. However, it is unlikely that the new owner will decide to unpack the purchase, because in another couple of decades this lot may cost many times more.
