The US Air Force will create an AI system for autonomous control of military UAVs

Skyborg does not involve the development of unmanned aerial vehicles, but the creation of a system for coordinating them

The Air Force said in a statement that an artificial intelligence system should build a routedrone in such a way as to avoid collisions with other aircraft, terrain, and also avoid thunderstorms.

The system should control the drone in such a way that it can autonomously take off and land, and also help control the aircraft to people who do not have piloting experience.

The main goal of the Skyborg program is to create a modular fighter-like aircraft based on it, which can be used to support a military fighter.
