The user has a burned smartphone Redmi Note 7S. Xiaomi refused to help

Unfortunately, almost every manufacturer has encountered (and repeatedly) spontaneous combustion of their

smartphones. And recently such a case happened with Xiaomi.

What happened

This story was told on social networks by Chavkhan Ishwar(Chavhan Ishwar) from India. In early October, he bought himself a Redmi Note 7S smartphone (a copy of the global version of Redmi Note 7) and used it for a month without any problems.

However, on November 2 at work, the smartphone suddenlycaught fire. Its owner smelled burning and smoke when the gadget was just lying on the table. At the same time, the transparent case that came with the kit melted due to the high temperature.

Chavkhan assures that he did not charge or drop the smartphone before.

What did they do to him?

A user carried a burnt Redmi Note 7Sto the service center, but they couldn’t even remove the SIM card - the gadget was so damaged. A few days later they reported that it was impossible to repair the smartphone.

The head of the service center admitted that the cause of the spontaneous combustion was the battery—or rather, something inside it.

Then the user contacted the service directlyXiaomi support. But they didn’t help him there either, saying that the battery was not covered by the warranty. Experts determined that the incident occurred as a result of external influence, so the incident was classified as “damage caused by the customer.”

As a result, Chavkhan was left with nothing, so he decided to warn buyers using social networks.
