The world's largest amphibious aircraft AG600M successfully passed the flight test

China continues to work on creating the world's largest amphibious aircraft. It is part of the AG600 family, and

the second prototype, designated AG600M, successfully passed its first flight test.

China Aviation Industry Corporation,a leading aircraft manufacturer in China, is trying to work without delay. At the end of August, the first prototype made its debut flight, and two weeks later the second engineering version of the aircraft did the same. The tests took place in Guangdong province on September 10.

The flight lasted for 22 minutes.The China Aviation Industry Corporation said that during the test, the aircraft showed good performance. All systems worked without failures and malfunctions.

This test AG600M will not end.In the near future, the corporation plans to conduct an additional series of flight tests, which will test the possibility of taking in and dumping water. The third test will take place at the end of autumn, and the fourth, which with a high degree of probability will be the last, is scheduled for early 2023.

AG600M will enter the market in 2025. However, the amphibious aircraft will be used in fire missions as early as 2023.
