The world's tiniest Christmas carol record has been created

Last year, scientists at the Technical University of Denmark created "the world's smallest Christmas

This time, they released a record-breaking tiny record with a Christmas melody engraved on it.

A polymer plate with a diameter of only 40 microns contains the first 25 seconds of the song "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree".It was created using NanoFrazor, a device that removes tiny amounts of material from a single piece.

Using the NanoFrazor, the engineers not only made a flat disc, but also cut a real spiral groove on the surface, similar to a plate.

It is impossible to play a record on a regular turntable. "You need a rather expensive atomic force microscope or the NanoFrazor itself," he explainsProf. Peter Boggild, Lead AuthorProject.
