The worst Switch port has been fixed by the same people responsible for the failed GTA remasters

In 2018, Nintendo's console received one of the worst ports of games ever released here – This

There was a game called ARK: Survival Evolved. Four years after its first release, a new port was released that used a new version of the Unreal Engine and this is truly a huge upgrade!

What is known

Ark on the 2018 Switch wasn't just bad,he was truly absolutely terrible. Many critics from different publications called it one of the worst ports (if not the worst) ever released on the Switch. It had an incredibly low resolution and a terribly low frame rate, with a lot of bugs and stutters. But things changed significantly when Groove Street Games took over the development, which is also responsible for the development of remasters of three parts of GTA.

According to the developers, they had to rebuildgame entirely using Unreal Engine 4. The port is based on the Xbox version of the game. Thanks to the tools of the engine, the game began to launch in just 30 seconds (and in the original version it could have taken 3 minutes), the resolution increased in it, and the shadows became more beautiful. The game also uses dynamic resolution scaling to help things look sharper and perform better on the Switch.

Of course, such a port still looked, blandlyspeaking, “weak” compared to its versions for consoles and especially PC, but, nevertheless, now you can play. What’s even more surprising is the fact that the development of such a good port is the responsibility of a team that also developed very clumsy remasters of GTA SA, Vice City and GTA III. This happens.
