The wreckage of Starship caused a fire in a state park in Texas

On April 20, SpaceX launched the Starship rocket system into orbital flight. At an altitude of about 40 km the company was

forced to blow up a spaceship and a rocket. As it became known, the wreckage of Starship flew to a state park in Texas and started a fire.

What is known

Federal agencies report that the wreckageStarship led to a fire on the territory of 3.5 acres (1.4 hectares). The US Fish and Wildlife Service found no evidence of wildlife deaths.

After the Starship Explosion Federal Officecivil aviation (FAA) banned launches, but this is a normal procedure. The agency has launched an investigation into the incident, which will result in a decision regarding the second launch of Starship. Elon Musk has previously said that SpaceX plans to make a second attempt within one to two months.

Now the aerospace company must removeall the debris that was generated as a result of the launch and detonation of the Starship. SpaceX is also required to conduct an analysis of the state of wildlife, plants and send a report to several federal agencies.
