There are solar panels that are installed instead of windows

A group of researchers from Japan has presented transparent solar panels that can be used

instead of windows. According to the authors of the article, they have found a way to create almost invisible solar panels - they transmit light and receive energy using it.

Scientists have explained that the threat of climate changecontinues to grow, so finding the best ways to integrate clean energy is a priority for many countries. With the threat of rising ocean levels, the ability to limit greenhouse gas emissions is vital to ensure the earth's future prosperity. Transparent solar panels will make it easier and more efficient to integrate them into homes and buildings.

This project is based on the useinteractions between ultrathin materials using a conductive material - indium tin oxide (ITO). This mixture is colorless and transparent, so it can be used for transparent solar cells.

The new system works by coating the material with carefully selected thin metals and then placing an insulating layer between the ITO and the tungsten disulphide vapor.

This setup allowed the researcherscontrol the contact barrier between materials. In addition, the design the researchers came up with allows for more efficient energy conversion than existing ITO-based solar cells. The researchers also talked about how this design could be used on a large scale to create more efficient and transparent solar cells.
