There may be another air leak on the ISS

As Vladimir Solovyov, flight director of the Russian segment of the ISS, said, now in the Russian module

One crack was found in the ISS and another is suspected.  Now experts plan to deliver a microscope on board, with which they will study the suspected location of the leak.

So far, the presence of a second crack has not been confirmed. Soloviev noted that air losses due to the existing leakage are insignificant.

This leakiness is as if youWe drilled the body with a drill with a diameter of 0.2 mm. I think there are no such drills in everyday life. As for losses due to this, our pressure is 750 mmHg, and we lose 0.3-0.4 mmHg per day per day due to this supposed leakage.

Recall that a previously small air leak atThe ISS was recorded in September 2019. In August-September 2020, after its speed had increased fivefold, the crew closed the hatches in the ISS modules twice to check their tightness and was isolated for several days in the Russian segment of the station.
