Dutch submarine company U-Boat Worx has announced the creation of a huge new

an underwater entertainment center accommodating up to 120 guests, as well as a full crew and maintenance staff.

Underwater entertainment platform, or UWEP(Under Water Entertainment Platform), with 150 m² of reconfigurable space, is conceived as a space that can be used as an underwater restaurant, casino, wedding venue, conference room and other events.

As New Atlas points out, UWEP is most likelyone of the most spacious submarines. One is 35.1 m long, 7.7 m wide and 7 m high. It is equipped with 14 huge acrylic windows with a diameter of 4.5 m. The boat is also equipped with a deck.

Steel strong UWEP hull allows the boat todescend to depths of up to 200 m. It is an all-electric vehicle with four 80 kW (107 hp) horizontal thrusters and four 40 kW (54 hp) vertical thrusters to support ballast and buoyancy systems. The maximum speed is 3 knots (5.6 km/h) on the surface and 2.5 knots (4.6 km/h) underwater.

I wonder what U-Boat Worx is going touse high-capacity "lead-acid" batteries for a huge underground battery with a capacity of 1.2 megawatt-hours. According to the company, this will be enough for trips of up to 18 hours or several shorter trips on a single charge. A separate emergency battery will keep critical systems running for up to 96 hours if something goes wrong.
