The host of The Infographics Show listed the models of the oldest weapons that are still in service with the United States.
- M2 BrowningIt's a .50 machine gun.For 89 years, it was America's first heavy machine gun. This weapon was created in 1918, and adopted for service in 1933.It has a muzzle velocity of 890 m/s, a maximum range of 7400 m, and an effective range of 1800 m.Initially, the weapon was designed to destroy armored vehicles.

- CH-47 Chinook. This helicopter entered service with the United States in 1962.year. Although this vehicle is quite large, it can reach speeds of up to 200 mph (310 km/h). Moreover, when it first began to be used, it was faster than any combat or service helicopter. CH-47 is capable of moving up to 55 equipped combat units or up to 10 tons of cargo.

- Carl GustafThis hand-held anti-tank grenade launcherhas been in service with the United States since 1946 (there it is called the M3 MAAWS).And, although it did not get into service in the United States from the first yearsThe difference from other analogues is in the rifled barrel (usually the stabilization of the ammunition occursdue to the tail unit in flight). Thanks to this, the grenade launchershot more accurately and was lighter and easier to use on its own.The Carl Gustaf can fire up to 6 rounds per minute, and can fire at moving targetshit from a distance of up to 400 m, on stationary ones - up to 500 m.It also allows the use of high-explosive fragmentation projectiles at a distance of up to 1000 m, and laser-guided rockets at a distance of up to 2000 m.

It is capable of flying at a maximum speed of 962 km/h (597.675 mph) and can cover a distance of up to 20,177 km (12,532 miles) without refueling, and with the support of a tanker aircraft, it can fly around the Earth in less than two days.
