THQ Nordic report: Saints Row 5 in development, with continuation of Metro Exodus and Dead Island 2

THQ Nordic decided to join Activision, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, and boasted results for the past quarter.

Financial success

Over the past quarter, THQ Nordic earned$119.1 million, up 36% from a year ago. In addition, operating income increased to $21.3 million, which is 193% more than last year. The most profitable were Deep Silver, THQ Nordic and Coffee Stain, and 58% of sales came from digital. Since these studios showed the best results, the company plans to increase investments to $37.2 million.

Plans

THQ Nordic has 81 projects in development, of which 47 remain unannounced. Before the end of the fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2021, players can expect “at least” two major releases.

Scheduled games include new SaintsRow, which will be the fifth part of the series and is already in “deep development.” In turn, Dambuster Studios took on Dead Island 2. From Fishlabs, the developers of Galaxy on Fire, gamers can expect a project on a new intellectual property. In addition, 4A Games has taken on a new AAA game, which, it seems, will be a new part of Metro.
