TikTok has released a video effect using the spatial camera sensor of the iPhone 12 Pro

Apple introduced the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max with a LIDAR camera at the end of 2020. And now large companies have begun to use it

in your applications. So, Snapchat was the first in this matter, but TikTok caught up with the American service by introducing its own video effect using the camera’s spatial sensor.

The essence of the effect is to burst the ball, congratulating users on the onset of 2021 and "dropping" confetti on them, reports TechCrunch. At the same time, thanks to LIDAR, the effect is able to understand the location of a person in space. This allows the fallen particles to remain on his hands and body as if they were actually showered with them.

Recall that earlier information appeared on the network, that Apple is preparing to announce a new AR device. Allegedly, many years of demonstrations of LIDAR capabilities in the iPhone and iPad were needed in order to "secretly" show users the direction of the apple company.
