Tim Cook told employees that Apple is on the hunt for information leaks

The company really doesn't like leaks.This week, Apple CEO Tim Cook addressed employees leaking information to journalists with a pretty stark message: You don't belong here, and we will find you.

According to the source, Apple CEOwas furious that two announcements he made last week at a general meeting about the company's policy on unvaccinated employees who would have to be tested frequently for COVID-19 and about Epic's antitrust case against Apple were leaked to the media shortly thereafter.

Cook's reaction

In an email sent to employeesAt Apple on Tuesday, Cook said he heard from many employees how upset they were by recent leaks about the general meeting. He was upset too. In addition, Cook noted that this comes amid leaks about the annual September product presentation.

“Team communication opportunitiesreally important. But they only work if we can be sure that the content will stay inside Apple”, – wrote Cook. “I want to assure you that we are doing everything possible to identify those who caused the leak. As you know, we do not tolerate the disclosure of confidential information, be it a product IP or details of a confidential meeting. We know that leaks occur among a small number of people. We also know that people who leak confidential information do not belong here.
