Tinder can check if a person is a rapist

Match Group, which owns Tinder, has invested in Garbo, a non-profit project that verifies

information about a person by his first name, last name and phone number.

According to project representatives, Garbocollects public records and reports of violence, abuse and harassment, arrests, convictions and restraining orders for certain data. 

They added that they would not publish information about drug possession charges for "reasons of justice"

The human verification feature will be paid and will begin testing in the coming months.
