The research company Apptopia has published its annual rating of mobile applications that have received
the largest number of installations in 2022.The first two positions have not changed over the year: TikTok with 672 million installations and Instagram (banned in the Russian Federation) with 548 million. But Facebook (banned in the Russian Federation) fell out of the top three, so much so that it ended up right at the 8th position. It was replaced by the WhatsApp messenger, and the mobile application for video and audio editing CapCut soared from 9th to 4th place in a year. Surprisingly, Snapchat managed to displace Telegram, pushing the latter to the 6th position, and already in the seventh position, Subway Surfers unexpectedly appeared - an old game released in 2011, which still captivates hundreds of millions of casual players. Spotify remained unshaken, retaining its 10th position.
