Top manager of Apple: Samsung copied the iPhone and just put a big screen

Joanna Stern of The Wall Street Journal presented a new documentary about the evolution of the iPhone, which also includes

interview with Apple's head of marketingGreg Joswiak. When asked how much influence Samsung and others had on Apple at the time, Joswiak admitted that they were "annoying" and accused them of copying Apple technology poorly. Discuss

"They were annoying", – saidJoswiak. "Because, as you know, they copied our technology. They took our innovations and created a bad copy of them and put them on a big screen. So, yeah, we weren't too happy."

Samsung released Galaxy S4 with a 5-inch displayin early 2013, while the iPhone 5 had a 4-inch display. Apple released its first larger smartphones – The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus in 2014, these devices were in great demand and became some of the best-selling iPhone models in history.
