Last August, Creative Assembly and Sega releasedTotal War Saga: Troy. The game only appeared on the Epic Games Store, which

received a temporary exclusive sales period. This period has already expired and Total War Saga: Troy will appear on Steam on September 2. At one time, the creators took an unusual approach to the game's premiere, giving it away for free within the first 24 hours after release. This led to huge interest from strategy fans and 7.5 million downloads.

Creative Assembly explained that thisin an unprecedented move to attract new players to the popular series, it said it has no intention of publishing more games on the Epic Games Store. For Steam users, however, the game won't be free even to begin with.

The following addition to the game was also announced:Mythos, the largest expansion to date. The new DLC will feature a completely new campaign in which you will meet incredible animals, learn new spells and similar fantasy elements.

Players will be able to replenish their armies with powerfulassistants in the person of Hydra, Griffon and Cerberus. Each of these beings will have their own set of special powers and abilities, and will be accompanied by legions of their worshipers.

If you are not into mythology and fantasyelements, don't be upset. Creative Assembly has announced that along with Mythos, a free update for the game will be released that removes all mythological elements. The battles will be led by "real" generals and their assistants.
