Toyota will manufacture moon rovers

Toyota has teamed up with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to create

controlled moon rover.

By the end of 2019, it is planned to createtechnical picture of the future rover. To do this, Toyota will attract about 30 of its employees, as well as open the "Moon Research Mobile Plant." As soon as the engineers understand the theoretical part, the production and testing of the working parts of the Lunokhod will begin. Control tests of the miniature prototype will begin in 2021. If everything goes according to plan, by 2027 we will have a full-fledged lunar rover.

The concept assumes that the finished machine will6 x 5 x 3,7 meters. Inside there will be enough space to accommodate 2-4 people, along with the equipment. Vehicles will make completely sealed, so the astronauts do not need spacesuits. Ride this miracle of technology will be on solar energy and hydrogen.
