Traffic-jumping car developed in China

Aeroht has developed an unusual flying car. Unlike traditional eVTOLs, which

Designed exclusively for flight, the new car will spend up to 90% of the trip on the ground, taking to the air only when necessary.

According to Bloomberg, the company will launch itsdevelopment into production in 2025. At the same time, the cost of one car will be about $ 140,000. A simple push of a button will deploy a rotor assembly that will lift the car into the air and land on a less busy stretch of road to continue the journey.

The developers note that the transition fromtraditional ideas about eVTOL to a hybrid model, which spends most of the time on the ground, significantly reduces the cost of the machine. For comparison, according to preliminary estimates, the cost of eVTOL will be at least $ 1 million - the Chinese hybrid is about seven times cheaper.

It is not yet clear how it will work andregulation of such transport in an urban environment: the rules of the road for flying cars have not yet been prescribed, and in most countries they are prohibited. However, the Chinese authorities have chosen several provinces for testing, including for Aeroht machines. The results of "field" tests will show how viable such a model is.
