Transparency and Uniformity: Carl Pei on Nothing Phone Design (1)

Following the alleged announcement date and price tag of Nothing Phone (1) that appeared on the Internet, I decided to speak out myself

the founder of the brand is Carl Pei, oncewho stood at the origins of OnePlus. In an interview with Wallpaper, he talked about what to expect from a design that will “turn everything inside out”. Firstly, the smartphone will inherit the aesthetics of the Nothing Ear headphones (1), known for their “transparent” body. To do this, Karl says, the engineers had to solve an intricate puzzle, the purpose of which was to expose the most interesting insides of the device, highlighting them from the rest. Apparently, we are talking about a transparent lid, the location of the filling under which is “inspired by a 1972 New York subway map.”

Second, Nothing strives for uniformitybrand products so that all devices have a common design language - something that most companies lack so much, the devices of any of which on the same table look foreign to each other. Everyone except Apple. Finally, the top manager once again reminded that Nothing Phone (1) will be based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, controlled by Nothing OS. The presentation of the first-born will take place in the summer.
