TRUTHS satellite is launched into Earth orbit: it will track the energy balance of the planet

ESA and partners have developed a new project mission, TRUTHS (Traceable Radiometry Underpinning Terrestrial- and Helio- Studies;

which is the basis of terrestrial and solar research).It will provideIn turn, this information is useful to understand how much heat is stored in the Earth's atmosphere.Has humanity made any progress in the fight against climate change and global warming?

The task of the mission is to study the energy balance of the planet, which consists of the inflow of energy to the Earth and its outflow into outer space.The more heat the planet stores, the hotter it gets.greenhouse gases are heating the planet.

The TRUTHS mission was unveiled at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday, November 3.It will become a landmark by which changes in the Earth's climate system can be tracked, ESA said in a statement.TRUTHS is a high-tech satellite that is scheduled to launch Earth orbit as early as 2029.It will be equipped with an absolute cryogenic solar radiometer and a hyperspectral spectrometer.
