During the tests, we were able to check the operation of the aircraft's jet engines. TUSAŞ does not say when the first flight of the TF-X will take place. Presumably, this will happen this year.

For those who are not in the know

TF-X is the project of the first Turkish fighterfifth generation. The aircraft is being developed by the aerospace industry company Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii (TUSAŞ). The design of the fighter was shown at the DEF-2013 exhibition in Istanbul. It has three versions, as well as single and dual engine options. By the way, they are supplied by General Electric. The aircraft will also receive ASELSAN radars.

If everything goes according to plan, the plane will be completed inin the coming years, and it will enter service with Turkey in 2030. By the way, the TF-X is supposed to be a replacement for the F-16 Fighting Falcon. They want to operate the aircraft together with the F-35 Lightning II.
