Scientists analyzed data from 24,236 Britons withpancreatic cancer. The authors identified 23 symptoms for the most common type of pancreatic cancer, ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Also on the list are problems with swallowing, diarrhea, bowel problems, vomiting, upset stomach, abdominal growths, abdominal pain, weight loss, constipation, fat in stools, bloating, nausea, flatulence, heartburn, fever, fatigue , loss of appetite, itching, back pain. Added to this list are two previously unknown symptoms - thirst and dark urine.

Researchers noted that cancer patientsthe pancreas is less likely to recover than others. The five-year survival rate is about seven percent. If the disease could be detected earlier, this percentage could rise.
