The US military has reported UFOs "several hundred" times over the past six months

In July 2022, an anomaly monitoring center was opened in the United States (English: The Association of Americans Resident Overseas, AARO).

Over the last six months the office has received“several hundred” new reports of UFOs from U.S. military personnel, Sean Kirkpatrick, the project’s director, told The Associated Press. Between 2004 and 2021, the military reported 140 UFO incidents. All of them are described in the long-awaited Pentagon report in June 2021.

New reports filed this yearUS Army, Navy and Air Force officials describe unidentified anomalous phenomena seen in the air, underwater and in space. The government prefers to call UFOs UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) or unidentified aerial phenomena. As the AARO director noted, there is no hint of alien activity in any of the reports, old or new.

Established in July 2022, AARO's mission isis to consolidate and investigate UFO reports filed by various branches of the US military. By definition, a UAP is “anything in space, air, land, sea, or underwater that cannot be identified and may pose a threat to U.S. military installations or operations.”
