UAE tests artificial precipitation technology in 50-degree heat

In several areas of the United Arab Emirates where daytime temperatures are now reachingup to fifty

degrees Celsius, heavy rains have been coming since Wednesday. According to forecasters, precipitation is observed north of theThe Hatts in the Hajar Mountain Range, as well as in the areas of Huwaylat, Kalba Road and Wadi al-Hilyu.In addition, rains were recorded in the area of the city of Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.It should be noted that earlier there was a heat of 47°C.

However, the current rains are not an anomaly, but the results of a full-scale experiment in the country to artificially change the weather. 

Rain making technologies consist offrom special experiments on “seeding” clouds. The UAE conducted them jointly with scientists from the British University of Reading. Drones fired electrical discharges into clouds without using chemical compounds.
