UAV MQ-9B SkyGuardian received the first American customer

The MQ-9B SkyGuardian unmanned aerial vehicle is once again in the spotlight. He recently passed the cold test,

and then General Atomics announced plans to equip the drone with cruise missiles. Now the MQ-9B has received its first American customer.

What is known

General Atomics signed a contract with Japan, andalso plans to sell drones to Belgium and the Scandinavian countries. The first US customer for the MQ-9B SkyGuardian was the US Air Force Special Operations Command.

The service uses MQ-9A Reaper drones forover 14 years old. Now the MQ-9B will come into service with the Special Operations Command. General Atomics signed a contract for the supply of three unmanned aerial vehicles.

David R. AlexanderAlexander, president of the US company, said that SkyGuardian is the ideal platform for use in a potentially hostile environment. The drone is distinguished by a combination of endurance, flight range and the minimum number of people for maintenance.
